1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Ritikal (रीतिकाल) (the “App” or the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the App.

2. License & Personal Use

Ritikal grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.

3. Your Data & Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and content of all information you store in the App, including tasks, calendar events, financial records, documents, and journal entries. You agree not to use the App to store or transmit any unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material.

• Backups: You are responsible for maintaining copies of your own backups, including safeguarding any passphrases used to encrypt them.
• Passphrases: Ritikal does not store, see, or recover your backup passphrases. A lost passphrase means the backup cannot be restored.

4. Account & Cloud Sync

Cloud synchronization is an optional feature. If you create an account and enable sync, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials. You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. You may delete your account and purge all remote data at any time from the App settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including: attempting to access accounts you do not own, interfering with or disrupting the Service, circumventing security measures or rate limits, or using the Service in any manner that violates applicable Nepali or international law.

6. Availability & Changes

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time. We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service; the latest version will always be published on this page.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ritikal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenues, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the App. You use the App at your own risk.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, any remote data associated with your account may be permanently deleted, and you may delete the App and its local data at any time.
